Once you have the basic patterns and timings of the dances, the next step in any dancer’s development is moving into the basic techniques that give each dance its individual character.
At the base of all these techniques is how a dancer uses his or her legs and feet. Dance shoes are designed to give maximum support and flexibility to the dancer’s feet.
Dance shoes are very different to normal dress shoes. The sole of a dance shoe is generally covered in soft suede and the arch of the shoe is flexible at specific points to allow your foot to flex in the way needed for the different ballroom and Latin American dances.
At Forever Dance we provide a large range of dance shoes suitable for both Latin American and ballroom dancing.
Once you have selected the style of shoe you like or if you have any questions regarding which dance shoe would be most suitable for your feet and dancing, call Jacqui in Hawthorn on 9939-6557 or email us at attention Jacqui.
Forever Dance does it all!
