| Forever Dance Hawthorn will commence new group classes as of next week. The first classes to commence will be General Variety, Bronze & Silver/Gold combined. The General Variety Class will be held on Wednesdays at 7.45pm and start next week, October 6th. Bronze Group Class will be held on Wednesday at 8.30pm. Combined Silver & Gold Class will be taken on Mondays at 8.30pm. These classes are in addition to the classes offered at the Richmond Studios and will cover different dances and steps. This will enable students to double their group class usage. For our full group class schedule, including the dances and steps being taught, check out our timetable. |

| Christopher E G Russell Memorial Trophy Launched & First Winner Announced |

| Sadly, earlier this year a special member of our studio passed away. For those of you who didn’t know Chris Russell, he was our resident competition night judge as well as a founding member of Forever Dance. Whilst Chris enjoyed success in all styles of dance, his true love was always Ballroom. It was one of his final desires to recognize dedication, commitment and improvement amongst social dancers in the Ballroom style. We at Forever Dance, together with the Russell Family and The North London Formation team, are proud to establish the Christopher E G Russell Memorial Trophy. The memorial trophy will be awarded to the student who has demonstrated outstanding development in the Ballroom field. This progression will be measured over the six month competition period for Ballroom candidates and presented at the Summer & Winter Grand Finals. We are very proud to announce that CAZ CHONG was the first recipient of the trophy at The Winter Grand Final, on Saturday July 12th 2008. | Please note the new start time for our Competition nights is 7pm. There will be a full hour of social dancing from 7pm with the Competition due to start at 8pm. Drink specials at the bar from 7 - 7.30pm. Studios 1 and 2 will be closed for private lessons at 6pm. All 6 o'clock private lessons on Friday night will be taken in Studios 3 and 4. | Practice Class |

| Practice Class is set to recommence on Saturday, February 16th at 1pm for Latin and 2pm for Ballroom. This time change will be consistent through out the year. Practice class will run every Saturday except for Medal Days and long weekends due to Public Holidays. Richard looks forward to seeing you next week, and, if you are also participating in the progress checks next Saturday, this is a great warm up. |

| The September Medal guest group class was such a success, that our Forever Dance team would like to organise another class for our October Medals. This guest group class will be held on Wednesday, October 24th at 8pm This is a complimentary service so if you are thinking of bringing friends and family along to the Medal night or if you bring guests to any Competition nights, then this is great opportunity to make sure your guests feel familiar and a part of our studio. The idea of a guest group is to ensure that your guests get the best service and can have the most amazing experience on the Medal and Competition nights. | Thanks for your patience and understanding in relocating to Studio 3 last week. From this week (20th) both Studio 1 and Studio 3 will be open for lessons. We have had a great response to the "new look" studio 3. Thank you for all the great feedback. The floor in Studio 1 looks fantastic and our studio 1 teachers can't wait to start their lessons back on their "home ground" tomorrow. | A Night in Havana It was a warm, balmy Sunday night. The heavy scent of lingering humidity and sporadic rainfall fused together with the salty air of the St Kilda Sea Baths to provide the ideal setting for the first Forever Fun event of 2007. We had planned and hoped for a night of fine dining and wining with open air Salsa dancing, but the weather pleasantly surprised us by whisking us off to the tropics. With the fiery sounds of energetic music, waves crashing on the shore only metres away and the natural laughter and cheer of people having fun, one could be forgiven for mistaking this setting for the exotic shores of Cuba. The students and staff of Forever Dance began converging on the venue early on in the evening. Many ordered cuisine from the delectable menu whilst others hit the open air dance floor straight away. The rain didn't stop the defiant dancers who enjoyed Salsa and Merengue music well into the night. Most students experienced social dancing in the most real sense of the phrase - a compact dance floor was well filled all night, whilst other Forever Dancers took over a corner of the court-yard and created their own space to mingle, dance and watch under the hidden stars. All in all, it was an enjoyable night for its jovial atmosphere and impromptu tropical ambiance. We thank all of the students who attended and helped create a fantastic Forever Fun!
