Dear Jeni and Richard,

Thank you very much for choosing me to be the recipient of the Christopher E.G. Russell Memorial Trophy. I really appreciate it, and am honoured that I was picked.

Over the last five (or so) years that I have been at Forever Dance, I have had much enjoyment and pleasure participating in the various events and functions that have been on, not to mention how much I love my private lessons. Thank you for running such a great studio!

Once again, thank you for the award.

Love Caz Chong

Dear Jeni & Richard,

Congratulations to you and your staff at Forever Dance for the special celebration on Saturday night. It truly was a celebration!

Please pass on my thanks to all, especially the 'Gold Team' teachers for making us all look so good on the floor, and, for making us feel so special. Their creativity & thought that went into that spectacular walk of fame up those stairs and in the ballroom made for a very special night.

The standard of dance too, was amazing. A great testimony to both of you and the team.

Thank you for a splendid evening.

Yours in dance, Liddy Clark - student of George and Gold Team!

Last night I spent an hour dancing purely for pleasure with Jarrod. It's more than 30 years since I danced and taught. I thoroughly enjoyed finding that old standards like the Swing Waltz, Tangoette and Barclay Blues came right back. To dance the slow foxtrot, tango and rhumba again was a bit of magic! Jarrod is an extremely competent dancer and teacher, obviously very well trained and he made my hour a lovely experience. I hope to come back for more!.

Thankyou!

Jenni Quin

Hey Jena,

Here's a couple of photos from our wedding during our dance. It went well and was a huge hit and we had a lot of fun. Thanks for all the hard work teaching us the routine.

Dear Richard and Jeni,

I would like to thank you for letting me use the Ballroom for my 21st birthday. I had a fantastic evening, which was heightened by the fact that I was able to have it at a venue which I absolutely adore. I love Forever Dance and being able to celebrate my 21st there made the evening more special for me.

Once again, thank you.

Dear Richard and Jeni,

I would like to take this opportunity to express my thorough enjoyment in taking lessons with Alicia. I think we can all agree that my dancing skills have increased ten fold over the last twelve months. As you know I have always enjoyed learning to dance at Forever Dance with my three teachers, Sabrina, Jacqui and now Alicia and without a doubt I am enjoying my lessons more than ever with more goals to reach.

How Ali puts up with my inability to remember steps is beyond me. I would have given up on me a long time ago. The Grand Final was without doubt the highlight of my year, which has been trying to say the least. Seeing Ali's smiling face makes the lesson more than bearable!! To have my name inscribed on the trophy was a shock and whenever I think of giving up it reinforces my doubts and strengthens my resolve in so many areas. What an achievement and I couldn't have done it without Ali's and of course, the foundation of Jacqui's teachings.

It is a wonder to me that every time I walk in the door I am so warmly greeted by all your staff, even those who are new. Everyone takes the time to inquire into my day and it's a pleasure to walk up those stairs. I am confident that over the coming years I will continue to learn and dance at Forever Dance and will strive to do better each week (Ali wouldn't have it any other way) I am sure Forever Salsa will continue with strong devotion and I always look forward to the social interaction of the night. We have a very large social contingent that continue to socialise outside of the school and we all love dancing and telling everyone where we learn!

Once again, I love learning with Ali. She constantly has the right answers and the perfect way of describing how to complete a step or not to break the women's arm.

She is wonderful.

Kindest regards
Wayne Buchner.

Dear Greg,

I just wanted to write you a short note to thank you for your faith in me on Saturday night. I have to admit I wasn't entirely sure that I was ready but I still managed to get my Bronze Modern with a highly commended no less!!

I can't believe how far my dancing has come since I first started and it's all thanks to you! Who would have thought 2 medals now!

I may not be the best dancer (and I definitely struggle with the sexy stuff) but you always seem to bring out the best in me.

I have complete trust and faith in you and it's only due to your kind and supportive manner. You manage to make everyone feel special and thanks to you, dancing has become one of the most enjoyable parts of my life.

Anyway, enough of the soppy stuff - I am much more comfortable when we are giving each other a hard time.

Lots of love, Kerry.

Dear Richard and George,

On behalf of the executive committee of the The Greek Siatista Club of Melbourne, we would like to thank you for your generous support in performing with your dance partners at our dinner dance held on November 3rd 2007.

Your performances on the evening helped make the function a big success and memorable to everyone who attended.

Yours sincerely,
Theo Papagianopoulos, President.

Dancing - The Forever Dance Way

When I first joined Forever Dance earlier this year, I managed to dance half the length of the floor before grinding to a halt, out of breath and fighting to get my heart under control. Thanks to my dancing lessons, I can now walk 5.5 kilometres in an hour. I feel healthier, stronger and I have energy and a zest for life that I didn't have a year ago. I also have new friends in Forever Dance who make me laugh, as well as being another source of fun and great entertainment!

I highly recommend dancing to anyone who is looking to get their health and interests back on track after years of nurturing children. And I highly recommend Forever Dance as the place to do it.

The teachers help you overcome all those hang-ups about being too big, too small, too old, too scared - whatever! They teach you a wide range of interesting fun dances that are both sassy and practical - so your dancing can shine anywhere without you looking like a show-off. They keep you mentally and physically stimulated with personal goals to work towards through medal tests and friendly competitions (if you want them!).

All in all, dancing would have to be one of the best ways to create a healthy body, a happy mind and new friendships filled with exciting possibilities! Do it. Do it now!

Dear Chrisanthie and the Forever Dance Team,

Just to let you know, Wombat and I practiced each night of the week leading up to the wedding and we didn't miss a step (well maybe one) but I have to tell you, the reaction from our guests and even the staff at our reception was amazing - they were blown away by what you taught us.

From the initial lesson to the final one, we didn't stop laughing and having the time of our life, let alone the fun we had delivering "our masterpiece" to our friends and family. All at the same time – you were extremely professional! (Pretty hard teaching a wombat and his double left footed fiance how to dance). And it only took 5 lessons!!!!

People were in shock and others had tears with joy, others just couldn't speak!!! Wombat and I really picked up when we did the first fling of our arm - the crowd hit the roof! With Woo Hoos and Wows coming bigger and better with each fling! And it went on getting better and better from there, to the point where they wanted an encore the day after at our post wedding BBQ!!!!!

We will never ever forget "our dance" and we have you to thank for making the boring old wedding waltz old news and the Cha Cha something amazing! It really was the highlight of everyone's day! Especially ours, we said you'd be very proud!!!!

I look forward to the day where we find our shoes again and come dancing! We loved it!

Take care and, once again, a massive thank you!

Carly & Wombat

Hi to the Forever Dance Team,

Having only recently arrived in Melbourne from sunny Brisvegas and keen to continue the dancing I had started, I checked out quite a number of studios in Melbourne before deciding where I was going to dance.

There are many great options in Melbourne, all with talented instructors and all offering similar opportunities in terms of medals, socials etc. However, what really stands out to me about Forever Dance is the friendly, relaxed, happy atmosphere you have captured in your studio and pass on to your customers. Even new friends I invited to the recent Medal Night commented on the atmosphere. I think the key is your instructors, who all for some reason seem to be happier and relaxed as a team, which is not something that is found in all studios. I am sure they have their ugly days too, like everyone in any job, but the general vibe is a happy one. So whatever you are doing, keep it up :)

I got a tip from a pro dancer who I stayed with briefly when I first arrived in Melbourne about Forever Dance and she was right. I still dance at other studios but somehow or other feel more intimidated by my startling lack of ability outside of Forever Dance! My FD instructor is pretty amazing and it shows in his students.

Forever Salsa rocks too. Now I just think you need to put a team together to showcase your studio and students at events like the Salsa Congress in Sydney :) You could be the 'dark horse' in this event and really surprise everyone......

Happy Days!

Mary Willis
